2 min readIn an unprecedented move, Captain Lee Rosbach from Below Deck walked off the reunion set. Previews show the reunion becoming so heated, Rosbach shares that he needs a minute.
Rosbach taps host Andy Cohen on the arm and says he needs a break. As he walks off stage, he is heard on audio saying that he is “done putting up with these f**king d**kheads.” Cohen then wonders if Rosbach will return.
Cohen also played a reunion clip on Monday’s Watch What Happens Live. In the clip, bosun Ashton Pienaar questions both Rosbach and chief stew Kate Chastain about their experience and relevance in the yachting world. The crew gasps as Pienaar appears to become confrontational with Rosbach. Could that be the reason why Rosbach walks off?
This crew member also needed a moment during a reunion
Deckhand (now bosun) João Franco from Below Deck Mediterranean became emotional and needed a break during the season 3 reunion. Franco was caught between having a relationship with stew Brooke Laughton and flirting with stew Kasey Cohen.
Franco and Laughton dated while on the show and shortly after filming wrapped. However, the relationship didn’t last. When it came time for the crew’s reunion, Franco was overwhelmed and had to walk away from the group. He ended up walking over to a corner in the Clubhouse, clearly in tears.
“Clearly he’s moved to tears about you, I mean that must mean something,” Cohen says to Laughton. While she says his reaction was meaningful, it didn’t take away any lies he told her. As Kasey Cohen and Laughton chat, Franco remains in the corner still crying. He eventually returns to his seat.
Plus, these ‘Real Housewives’ made some pretty grand exits
Walking off set is a signature Real Housewives move. Camille Grammer from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills felt ganged up on and stormed off the set while trying to remove her mic. As a result, her gown started to fall off her body. Also from RHOBH, Lisa Rinna needed a moment off-camera when Kim Richards refused to accept the infamous “blue bunny” gift for her grandson.
Also, Ramona Singer from The Real Housewives of New York City couldn’t handle the discussion about Alex McCord’s nude photos so she “excused” herself in a dramatic fashion. Jill Zarin from RHONY became so emotional about her impasse with Bethenny Frankel, she had to walk off the set.
Of course, there are the aggressive walk-offs. Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey got into a smackdown so intense, Cohen had to physically hold Giudice back. Cohen almost got hurt in the mess. And while Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County didn’t walk off her last reunion, she certainly caused a stir when she screamed at producers before and after. But she did leave a reunion set in 2017 when she felt attacked over her relationship with Brooks Ayers. She even threatened to quit the show.
The Below Deck season 7 reunion airs on Monday, February 10 on Bravo.
