Louise Van de Vorst struggles with balance as a new mum

She's the Australian model who gave birth to her first child last year.

And on Sunday, Louise Van de Vorst opened up about how she's struggled to juggle motherhood with her career.

Speaking to Confidential the 29-year-old said it was her son Roosevelt Reyne who taught her how to find balance.

Finding the balance: On Sunday, Louise Van de Vorst opened up about how she's struggled to balance her modelling career and being a new mother 

'You do struggle with the balance, you have to make sure you're eating right and make sure you take time to incorporate exercise,' she said. 

'But mentally he's given me so much drive to be the best version of myself I can be.'

Louise, who is engaged to former Neighbours actor Jamie Robbie Reyne, also confessed that her 20-month-old always goes with her on modelling jobs.

Speaking to Vogue Australia last year, Louise said motherhood had made her 'the woman she's always wanted to become.'

'Having the opportunity to cherish and nurture a child to their full potential is an unbelievable experience, one I learn from every day,' she said.

Jaime first rose to fame playing Taj Coppin on long-running Australian soap Neighbours.

He starred on the show between 2002 and 2004 alongside Delta Goodrem and last year, he appeared opposite Jessica Mauboy on The Secret Daughter.

Before meeting Jamie, Louise - who was once dubbed ‘alien chic’ by the fashion industry due to her delicate elfin like features, heart shaped face and huge eyes - dated Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns.
