It is the controversial new reality show which sees participants leave their current partner and enter into an experimental marriage with a total stranger.
But will the radical strategy implored by the Seven Year Switch actually work at repairing broken romances on the brink or irreparable damage? Or will the series merely provide provide shock entertainment for the pleasure of Australian audiences?

At the conclusion of the US series, it was revealed that not all of the married couples remained together by the end of the eight-part series.
One relationship sadly ended in divorce causing shock-waves in the US with religious groups blasting the show for threatening the sanctity of marriage.
However, on a completely different note, another couple fell pregnant shortly after the series and are now expecting their first child.

Leah and Neal Carney
Not quite the happy ending they were hoping for, it was revealed that Neal and Leah Carney had opted to end their eight-year marriage following the switch therapy.
During the finale, Leah expressed that she 'loathed' the experiment and blamed the experiment for making things in their marriage worse.
'It has not been anything but hurtful... It has not been beneficial,' she said of the experience.
After differing views on having children and trying to work through Leah's past infidelities, the couple felt that they just couldn't make it work.
'At this point in our relationship, I just don't think it's possible to reconcile,' Neal said after citing Leah's past infidelities as reason for being unable to resolve their issues.
'I feel like it'll be best for me to find the happiness that I'm looking for,' Neal said as Leah refused to comment about life without her husband.

Houston and Aleshia Osemwengie
The couple got off to a rocky start during the series, however the switch therapy appeared to work wonders for Houston and Aleshia Osemwengie's relationship after they revealed they had decided to fall pregnant just one month after returning from the switch.
Appearing to have resolved their issues, the pair are now ready to start a family together and are reportedly expecting a baby girl.
'Houston and I are so overjoyed to announce that we're expecting our first baby soon,' said Aleshia, adding: 'Switch therapy definitely has had a positive, lasting effect on our marriage.'
During the season finale, the pair admitted that the time apart was good for them and they stopped taking each other for granted - even spending more time together.
'I saw what life without her would be like, and that's not something that I want,' Houston said after they revealed they wanted to stay together after the experiment.

CW McGee and Rachel Farris
CW McGee and Rachel Farris decided to remain together after embarking on the emotionally difficult journey of switch therapy.
However during the finale, the show's therapists didn't believe that they had successfully worked through all of their issues.
'We've come so far, and we probably wouldn't have had we not just taken the leap for the experiment,' Rachel explained after revealing they were going to give it another shot.
However, the two planned a recommitment ceremony, with CW promising not to forget what they learned in the experiment, and Rachel said she would speak up more in the relationship.

Eric and Danielle Wolf
For Eric and Danielle Wolf, the radical therapy appeared to work wonders on their marriage, after they decided not only to remain together, but declared: 'We're closer than ever' during the show's finale.
The therapy seemed to help the couple work through their differing views on career and family and come to a middle ground.
'We realized so much about each other and ourselves and I just feel like, how could we not just celebrate how great it went?' Danielle admitted.

The Australian series debuted on Tuesday night and saw shock reactions from audiences, decrying the experiment as 'immoral', 'sinful' and 'radical'.
The four couples - Tim and Jackie, Ryan and Cassie, Brad and Tallena, and Jason and Michelle -had audiences in awe as their explosive ins-and-outs of the couple's dirty laundry was aired on national television.
Brad and Tallena's relationship needed fixing, but it emerged his controlling behaviour was at the root of the problem as his tearful girlfriend revealed he takes her engagement ring off her every time they fight.
And he also admitted to refusing to spend more than $1,000 on their wedding ceremony, despite purchasing a second television for himself worth $3,000 and also owning a luxury car and jet ski.
While married couple Jason and Michelle revealed that they had not had sex in 17 months.
Cause of the problem? Seven Year Switch's Brad and Tallena's relationship needs fixing, but the first episode highlighted that it may be Brad's controlling and selfish behaviour leading to the demise of their relationship
Meanwhile, Jackie admitted Tim had only said 'I love you' once in three and a half years - and even that was by text message.
The blonde beauty went onto complain about her beau's lack of affection, asking him to 'Say you love me back on TV you f***head'
However it also became apparent that Jackie's domineering personality was equally taking a toll on Tim as he told her 'You're just a bossy b****!'

The pair are seen sharing a Jacuzzi together - and Tim even pulls off his swimming trunks.
